Burrows Drive Day

Burrows Drive Day started as a corporate event back in 1992 with Peter Burrows (see picture below) inviting his mates to share in his passion for exotic fast cars (particularly Ferrari) on the race track. As this was the place these cars really belonged it gave these lucky particiants a chance to really experience life in the fast lane. Since then Burrows Drive Day has become the most sought after prestige driving experiece in Sydney, if not Australia. Luke O'neill has captained the ship since 1999 and made the event a professional and seamless experience.

So how was the day?? Well....

A grey and rainy day greeted us as we awoke at 5am to prepare for the Advanced Driver Training course awaiting us at Eastern Creek's,Sydney Motor Sport Park. As we arrived at the track filled with excitment we saw the usual suspects roll up in their high performance exotica.

After a hot barista coffee and a piece of cake the driver briefing began and before we knew it we were lining up for our first session of the day.

The track was slippery so the expert instruction from the numerous professional driver trainers gave us valuable knowledge on how to get the most out of our vehicles in the tricky conditions. Wet weather lines, feathering the throttle and keeping traction were all high on the skills list to be mastered for the day.

A catered lunch meant we were all ready for the afternoon session. A change in layout from the Brabham full circuit to the GP circuit, meant we could get a taste of what the V8 supercars, GT Cup, World Time Attack and other top tier motorsport categories experienced.

After a full day of great cars, great company and great instruction we were ready to head home and share the experience with friends, family and of course all our jealous mates!!

Another great day at the track Burrows Drive Day being the best exerpeince of it's kind in Australia.

Thanks to Luke and the team!
